Google Places OptimizationPlace your keywords strategically. Search engine spiders will notice your keywords if you place them in your title tags. Do not go out of your way to place keywords within your articles. You should choose five strong keyword phrases you can use in your different title tags and in the anchor text of your links. Use these same keywords in your meta tags and meta descriptions as well. If possible, place these keywords in your URLs and use your article titles in your URLs.

Organize your website efficiently so your human visitors can easily find important information. You can help search engine spiders navigate your website if you use site-wide links as well as unique links. Each page should contain three to four individual links to other similar pages and you should create a detailed menu to help your visitors find your important pages. Use a plugin to create an XML sitemap. A sitemap will help search engine spiders find all your pages.

Optimize the elements search engine spiders cannot read. Optimize your pictures with some alt tags and write descriptions for your videos. If you decide to use Flash or Java Script, describe these elements with strong keywords. Keep in mind that search engine spiders might not be able to follow your links if you use Java Script for your menu. You can make your site easier to interpret by using a simple design. Avoid using pictures for your background or your header and create a separate CSS sheet for your design.

Creating some back-links is the best way to draw more traffic to your website. You will get some quality back-links if you focus on creating quality content others will want to share. Contact webmasters and bloggers to exchange links and get your content featured on their sites. Submit some of your articles on article directories and join message boards so you can share links to your content when it is relevant to do so. Use a visitor counter to keep track of which links are the most followed so you can create more similar links.

Improve your Google Places Optimization campaign

Keep looking for ways to improve your Google Places Optimization campaign. You should stay up to date with new search trends and add new keywords to your site if your target audience is likely to use these words. Integrate your new pages and articles into your structure as you keep creating more content for your website. You should also work on building more back-links since a back-link will remain active for only a few months. Subscribe to a quality Google Places Optimization newsletter to keep learning about new Google Places Optimization techniques since search engines regularly update the methods used to index and rank web pages.

Developing a good Google Places Optimization campaign will help you rank higher in search results. Use the tips from this article and keep track of your results to make sure the techniques you use are efficient.
