Organize The Website You’re Working On For Google Local Optimization Purposes

November 8, 2014 by Blog Editor

If you want to get into google places optimization, you have to learn a few tricks of the trade first. Your site has to be organized correctly before you do anything else. This article will help you get the most out of Google Local Optimization, so keep reading for the information you need.

Get The Most Out Of Google Local Optimization

The first thing you want to make sure that you have when you are doing Google Local Optimization is navigation that is easy to use. You don’t want to use Flash or Java menus that are overly complicated. Text links work the best for Google Local Optimization purposes because that allows the crawling software from the search engines to quickly go to every place on your site and index it. Flash and Java based menus are also bad because if someone doesn’t have the software to display these things, your site will be impossible for them to navigate.

Google Local OptimizationMake sure that you’re using different keywords on every single page of your site. You do not want to make everything the same because you want to be able to have your site competing with as many different keywords as possible. You should have keywords in places like your page titles, the image description tags in your code, and anywhere else that you can place text. Don’t forget to try and make your URLs contain your keywords as well.

Do some research on the keywords that you’re going to be using for your website before you make your site live. There are a lot of times that you’ll find that your keywords are too popular at the time. You may also find out that your keyword is so obscure that there are barely any sites out there that you’d have to compete with. If either of those things are what end up happening, then you should try to think of different keywords to work with. Try to find something that has quite a few results but isn’t super popular either.

Fresh Content Can Influence Rankings

Put new content on your page and be sure that it is on the front page. Even if you made just a small change to one page on your site, you should have some kind of a news section on the home page that describes the change you made. If you have trouble coming up with content, you should see if you can hire someone to help you with it. You don’t want search engine crawling software and people to come to your site a few times and see the same thing. Getting a higher ranking depends on fresh content from time to time, so keep this in mind.

If you want your site to do well within search engine results, then you have to use the above tips to help you out. It’s going to take some time, however, so you cannot rush these things. Be patient and put the tips you have read here into practice and you shouldn’t have any problem with your site getting the traffic it deserves.
